Over the past years, I've watched ebay for auctions having to do with the Westcott and Wescott names.  Below you will see some of my finds.  I'd like to know more about all of them, and would appreciate any and all help in the facts and stories behind these items.

The picture below was taken March 18, 1936, according to writing on the 5" by 7" view camera negative I purchased.  The town on the truck is Lanesboro PA.

The picture below is a postcard.  The only markings are handwritten:  "Mr A.  Westcott's Oxen, Spindleville in south of Hopedale Mass."  The postcard has one cent postage on it, indicating this picture was taken some time between 1921 and 1952.

The above postcard reminded us all of the picture of Pop and his two oxen, Dick and Dan, below.


 
 



Twin Maples
Great great grandfather and grandmother Walter G. and Eileen Wescott ran a boarding house around 1952, in Essex Vermont:

This is a homelike place on the outskirts of a small village, 9 miles from Burlington and on direct road to Mt. Mansfield, Newport, and Montreal.  Bus service several times daily.  The house has a large screened porch.  Comfortable rooms, electric lights and bath.  Garage.  Jersey milk, fresh eggs and home cooking.  Waffles and Vermont maple syrup a specialty.
