Norman Isham Wescott was the third of seven children and second son of Hiram and Silvia Isham Westcott.  He was born in 1876.  He dropped the middle T from his surname, as did five of his siblings.

He spent much of his adult life in the neighborhood of Mallets Bay in Colchester, Vermont, which is on Lake Champlain.  

He and his wife Louise Francis had six children.  Their son Hiram died at age ten, and twin girls Lillian and Olive died at birth. 

His descendants now live in Missouri and Southern California.
